Project philosophy (La filosofia del progetto)

FlorencEthical, map of the city for responsible consumption and tourism, born of the growth and development in favor of a sustainable change, as a philosophy and lifestyle in a context of “less is more”.
Give proper exposure to activities which, day after day, and in practice, build and establish values in equilibrium between production & environment – roots & identity – quality & price. These are the compatible requisites to develop an “ethical concept” and to coherently, and in moderation, reinforce territorial resources.

Logo. The earth, multicolored planet moves and changes: earth, water, sky rotate in a motion of fusion leaving infinite space, in a synergy, mingling but maintaining identity, not for sale, not modifying but sharing and regenerating for a “possible better world”.

Ethical Manifest

Search both a personal and collective lifestyle, more rigorous, and more attentive to world changes but not losing sight of the objective “the little things”.

Freedom of choice! Our daily little choices can help us change the world and make us feel better.

Give prominence to firms conducting business properly and not to those solely interested in profit without respect for people, animals, environment and product quality.

Search new possibilities to create the rules of a local economy in contrast to those dictated by a consumerist economy offered through globalization.

Create a critical and ethical behavior in the user of this project to arrive at choices of products which do not cause harm to people, animals, environment.

Transmit and stimulate a behavioral style conforming to the development of sustainable tourism, such as:
purchase of local, biological, quality products.
purchase of equiconcordant products.
consume less energy.
consume less water.
reduce pollution in rivers and lakes.
walk, bicycle, use public transportation and car sharing.

Create an information and message network consonant with supply and demand.

These are the points, which can be amplified and shared, which have convinced us to create FlorenceEthical, a kind of work in progress, where everyone can express their views, offer their contribution and their ideas and their availability for a better future.

Our guide has chosen to neutralize our own gas emissions due to hothouse effect and it will be printed on ecological paper.
